I selected the use of Kahoot based on the information I gathered from my Data Collection assignment interviewing professors and teachers who integrated technology into their classrooms and lesson plans. Following the RAT Matrix from Roblyer and Hughes, the Matrix helps educators plan for effective technology integration. RAT is an assessment for understanding technology’s role in teaching, learning, and curricular practices. Having the students view the demo lesson first allowed them to reflect on what they learned before taking the interactive quiz. The quiz became interactive once I embedded a video from the lesson to help them with their response.
